Ouch, My Head Hurts!

It's been a fairly interesting weekend for raiding. Getting down bosses is awesome and amazing and everything, but goddamn the work that goes into some of the fights. For instance, my 10man team just downed Heroic Professor Putricide tonight. That fight was absolutely HELL. And it's not all about techniques and junk, but about people having patience.

From a shadow priest's prospective, it's rough. I don't care what anyone says. You have to dps oozes, keep in control of the debuffs and keep dps on boss as well. You gotta move around a lot...which means not much flaying and more Dp'ing and Deathing. Who cares what your DPS looks like when you're kiting orange slime and dodging the main tank's debuffs! UGH! I really don't want to stress out on that fight again. I wish we never had to do it again, honestly. But tokens are tokens, right?

I'm lucky, though. Our 10man team is a beast. We have our moments, but all in all we mesh well together. I am so very proud of everyone! :)

I'll try and post something a little more constructive tomorrow.

To Mind Blast or Not....

If it's one thing I love about playing a spriest right now, it's definitely the 4 piece set of Tier 10! Watch that mind flay go! Zoom zoom! I've been doing a lot of reading on whether it's okay to completely take Mind Blast out of the "rotation" or not. I've tried both ways, but lately I'm only casting MB to keep replenishment up. However, in all the raids I bring Avi to, there's always replen' anyway! This weekend I'm going to try taking imp MB out of my talents again. Just to see if having something else is worth it. I'm not a huge number cruncher, but in my head, it seems more logical to spam MF instead of taking time to cast MB. I think it all depends on latency and all of that fast internet crap. Luckily, my latency is almost always low and I don't have any casting problems. Quartz is a great addon! But yeah, using MB or not is one of the larger debates on the spriest forums.

Also, I just set up my new keyboard and headset and I'm pretty happy with all of it! I plan to post a picture or something of my cozy but awesome desktop.

Until later.

EDIT: Taking Improved MB out of the talents seem to be going well for me. I just cast MB right after I refresh a VT. I'm happy with my spec atm. :)

Also, >> Leatrix Latency Fix << is awesome.

What's This All About, Anyway?

So I'm not much of a blogger or anything, but after reading various other WoW related blogs, I decided I'd try it out. I'm hoping to make this a bit more exciting than just some bitch-a-thon over crappy stuff in the game. Although...I am sure I'll have my moments!

I'm Suzanne, but better known as Avi in the game. I play a Spriest primarily and love it. Well, most of the time. Back before the HASTE IS GOOD patch hit, I struggled with playing my class. I figured that I would end up switching mains because my team mates were giving me shit for sucking. I'm really glad I didn't.

I've been playing since May of 2006 with a hiatus in the middle of BC. I've been back for a while now and I don't really see me taking another break any time soon. I used to be a semi-shadow priest back in Vanilla WoW when they all sucked. But during the Molten Core days, I just healed like all the other priests did. DPS was useless. Or so it seemed. I wore my purple Devout gear happily and played Holy for raids. Other than that, I loved to PvP as Shadow. I guess I just pvp'd so much that I ended up getting one of those nifty Knight titles. Once BC came out, I started getting more involved with the shadow spec. I was starting to get used to the mechanics of it all and fell in love with the old shadowy figure. I played as a healer in Kara but eventually went on my break. I came back to the game after some tragedy in my life. I needed my old distraction back, I guess. But anyway. I ended up finding some new friends in game and I started up Kara again. This time, I was shadow! Somewhere between BC and Wrath, it was like a rollercoaster of specs for me. Sometimes I was holy or Disc...or Shadow...I was whatever. I guess I didn't really become competitive until the later part of Naxx and Ulduar. Despite the stress of being a low DPS class, I kept going.

Things are going much better, now.
